If you asked him, he would negate that he was ‘hiding out’ or ‘escaping from anything’. Yes he would negate everything. The reality of the matter was, that he truly was. A few hours after the attack he had gotten his full memories back. He remembered loosing control of his anger over the loss of his youkai powers, and remembered how he had behaved with Zoe. Not that he thought he was wrong in his actions, because he didn’t think he was. He was right. She neutralized his powers…all be it for a short time, but she had. No one had ever managed doing that to the demon lord yet. It was very disconcerting. How was he supposed to deal with that? He had worked all his life to gain the power he had. He didn’t think he was anything without it. In fact, he knew he wasn’t. If he didn’t have it, he might as well be put out of his misery. He would probably do it himself in fact.
On top of all that, he had lost control of his anger. He always prided himself in his control. The only one he lost a few times was his anger, and he severely hated it. Dammed his mother and her blood traits….Not that his father’s blood helped any. If anything it made things worse. His mother’s blood gave him the longevity in his anger, and his father’s gave him the quickness to get it. Thankfully it only happened at certain times. He was intelligent enough to know who deserved it, and when. Being called names did little. What others thought of him matted not, after all he knew who and what he was, and he wasn’t going to let others actions rule him on what he was to do. He certainly wasn’t going to be led around by anger or pride on that.
All that mattered, but now it left him with a problem. While she had acted wrong, he could not disprove that her intentions had been good. He would be foolish not to see that. She was protecting the castle and his people. For that he couldn’t be angry at her. He should be thankful, but being thankful was not one of the Lord’s higher qualities. He didn’t remember ever saying ‘thank you’ to anyone…. Save for Rin, but only Rin knew that. So he was safe. But now how was he supposed to behave around her? He didn’t know….
It had been 5 days since the incident with the humans. He was and had been going merely from his office to his chambers and back again. Dinners had been silent and disturbing things when she had been there. There had not been a word between them, and Rin poor thing was stuck in the middle not knowing what do to or say. She didn’t know what was up with them now… There had to be a reason why her Lord was like that but she hadn’t found it. Sesshoumaru would sit, eat, and then excuse himself and go back into his office. His dinners had been ‘lighter’ than usual as well. All this thinking and stressing hadn’t done much for his appetites which were light as it was. But who could blame him. It’s not like he liked what he had to eat anyways.; And it wasn’t like he was anymore talkative when she wasn’t there either. Most of the times he was too lost in thought of how to fix the entire mess, to even acknowledge anyone.
Inuyasha had come back, they had talked in his office, and he had left. It had been the only real conversation he had with anyone. Inuyasha had been cracking up the entire time he had been there. Telling him that ‘She got to you.’
Of all his nerve… She hadn’t gotten to him… He was perfectly well, and no one had ‘gotten to him’ certainly not Lady Zoe.
Not that Inuyasha believed his words. He’d only say ‘Yeah sure, keep telling yourself that Sesshoumaru. You’re doing great’ and crack up more.
His brother was getting to know him too much for his own good. Sesshoumaru found it disconcerting. Where had all that intelligence in his little brother come from? He didn’t know…Had it been there the entire time? Who knew?! At least it served as another reminder that his father’s proud blood did run through the hanyou’s veins. Part of him wished his brother had helped more than he had laughed. Because when his brother left he was still in the same predicament. He was still in his office just lost in paperwork and information on what had happened, and he was still ‘[glow=red,2,300]not hiding out’[/glow].

Who would have thought that a ride into the past would be a serious case of turbulence? He could barely move his arms, let alone his head when he watched the time warp opened up before his eyes. Stupefied by the sheer force of the ride, he made mental note to never do this ride ever again. Just how could his mother deal with this type of ride? Just exactly how many times had she done this? No, it wasn’t a same type of ride when he went off to meet with his grandparents. This ride, requiring a great deal of energy to be zapped into the past was certainly not a smooth one.
Before he could even mentally prepare himself for what comes next, a flash of blue sky appeared. It was then he realized he was out of the time warp inside the space transporter. The mobile machine whizzed slowly across the sky, well-hidden among the clouds away from prying eyes down below.
Yes. I can remember this…
The lands now exposed before his eyes were nothing but ocean of vivid green forests and open plains with few villages spotted here and there. The time here was quiet, peaceful without all the hustle and bustle of technology everywhere. Yes, this was the time he missed most when almost everything was in simplicity galore. A further glance into the distance, he spotted the landscape he was most familiar with.
The Castle. But, why do I see burnt marks just outside the castle walls?
As the mobile machine continued to drift closer and closer to its destination, Seishii realized these were the aftermath of a battle. With a slight shake of his head, releasing a sigh, he began fingering the mother board, shifting the mobile space transporter to a safer distance, further away before the guards took notice of his presence. Now nestled inside a forest close to the castle grounds, he jumped out of the mobile machine and shut the door close. Taking a step back, he watched as the space transporter whined and hummed, its appearance now becoming fuzzy and out of shape.
He watched the machine disappear before his eyes.
You better be back here by the end of this year…
Tugging at the collar of his usual black outfit, “time to change,” he murmured to himself, keeping sure that his scent and aura was well concealed. It was only in a flash of seconds did he appear in his appropriate outfit, though, he had chosen to wear what an unemployed guard would wear. For a moment, he contemplated on his other plan that he should present himself as guardian of his mother. Yet, he knew it would be a total buff as his past mother could see right through him and would not blatantly believe him. He figured he might as well pull the risk of showing up as an unemployed guard and see what begets from there.
Before stepping out from the forests, he manipulated his scent, ensuring that he would only give off the aroma of pinewood and fresh grass, leaving his aura somewhat just over the normal range. He couldn’t afford to have another daiyoukai sense another daiyoukai. Holding the guard hat by his side, he confronted the guards with a gentle smile and explained his situation. One of the guards nodded his head and turned to inform the demon lord.
“Now, let’s see what happens.” He muttered lightly, trying to keep his mind open, preparing for the worst. He noticed the guard staring at him a bit too intensely. “Do I have something on my face?” Mentally, he checked to see if he released a tad bit of his youki allowing his pointy ears to emerge along with claws protruding along with fangs. Though, he decided to keep his eyes cobalt blue instead of amber, fearing that it would be a dead giveaway with his silvery hair. Good, He got all this prepared.
The guard, mildly startled that he finally spoke again, shook his head.

The guard's knocking served to snap him out of thought. Sesshoumaru looked up from paperwork and put away his quill. He sighed hoping it was not a problem that had to do with Zoe. He still did not want to see her. Still didn't have a clue as to what to tell her. It wasn't a position he was in often. Cursing mentally he told the guard to come in.
The guard did so, bowing and looking up to his Lord. "My lord, we have a young youkai at the gate. He looks like he's requesting work." He said calmly. It wasn't a big deal. It happened a lot. It was after all the best way to gain honor.
"Fine, I will deal with him, bring him to me." Sesshoumaru said looking down to his paperwork again.
The guard looked to his lord confussed for a moment. Bring him to him? What? The guard thought. He had never done that before. But he realized it was best not to argue with the current mood his lord was on. He bowed and exited. Going back down to the guate he looked to the youkai boy.
"Come boy. Lord Sesshoumaru will see you in his chambers. You better know how to act around him. But it's not my head on the line." The guard said opening the door to let Seishii in. "Best not try anything funny either, he's not in the best of moods." The guard warned. Once Seishii was following him, he walked him to the doors of the office, Knocked again. When he heard the annoyed 'come!' he shook his head. Opened the door, bowed. "The youkai my lord." The guard said still bowing.
" Fine... leave him, and go." Sesshoumaru said still not looking up from his paperwork. He really did look scary at the moment. His expression was colder than ice, colder than normal, he looked like he'd kill you with a split second and not even think about you while doing it. His eyes did not have warmth, and you could hardly tell what was going on in his mind in them.
Finally after about 10 minutes he looked up to the young youkai in front of him. He starred at the boy a long time without saying anything. "You do not look like much of a fighter. This 'sesshoumaru' hopes you are not wasting his time." He said with a tone that could freeze over water. "What is your blood line? And what can you do?" He asked getting up and going over to him, circling him to look him over well and then he went back to his seat.

Standing in front of the gate with a lone guard on supervision, Seishii had time to contemplate on his next move. Inside his brain, the wheel continued to turn and turn, reading all the possibilities a situation could present itself. Not to mention, he brought in what he knew so far about his father into the possibilities. As any typical demon lord, one would want to know those who are employed by them, to know their background and just what they are capable of.
Makes sense. I better have a clear image of what I am going to be.
The gate opened and Seishii looked up to spot the same guard, one he spoken with earlier. He spoke, giving him the warnings he was all too familiar with. Though, such warnings was never really directed at him from his own father, he simply heard it to other guards and residents. He understood that his father was a great man and not to be trifled with. He closed his eyes, nodding mutely, indicating that he understood what the guard warned him of.
Upon entering the office, Seishii was all again too familiar with the surrounding. He couldn’t believe that his father was messy even back then. He began to wonder just when he would at least clean up the mess. He had to watch where he was stepping, raising his knee slightly higher than the usual to step over certain items left on the floor. He did not allow a hint of disgust or remorse show up on his face. No, he will not blow it all up just because of this. He turned, watching the door shut behind him, leaving him to analyze the demon lord, the man who soon became his father in the near future.
He is certainly…in a bad mood.
Holding the guard hat comfortably by his side, he merely stood in front of the table where Lord Sesshoumaru sat by on the other side. He was not in the least nervous, not even when the time ticked by for several minutes. Seishii merely stood there with a calm expression, his cobalt eyes void of stress or anxiety and merely took his time watching the table instead of the demon lord himself. After all, it would also be considered rude to stare at a noble lord for too long. Finally, he looked up, spotting Lord Sesshoumaru staring at him and proceeded to encircle him.
“No, my lord. I assure that I am not wasting your time.” He replied for the first time, his voice almost resembling the demon lord’s voice. He bowed out of respect, “My name is Seishii. I do not know my parents, only that I have been adopted. The only information I have been given is that I am also a Silver Inu.” So far, Seishii was pleased with the way he spoke, knowing full well that he could also detect lies himself. “I can fight. I can produce poisons; protect myself against telepathy or telekinesis attacks, hand-to-hand combat, speed and strength.” Best he put it all on a plate than to hide any, “I can also manipulate sounds.”

Sesshoumaru sat back down, still watching and studying the young youkai in front of him. The look on his face never changing. He studied the way the young thing spoke. Studied the way he stood, and carried himself. It was not normal inu way. It was noble, highborn. While Seishii's scent and tone told Sesshoumaru he was not lying, or that he did truly believe what he was saying to be true, Sesshoumaru did not fully believe the story. But it was not enough of a suspicion to do anything about it. He would simply keep the young thing on view, and tell the other guards to 'test' him. That would handle any problems.
He listened to Seishii's explanations of his abilities, raising an eyebrow at them. Some of them where common enough in inu, others where not. It was yet another curiosity to add to his list.
"I see." Sesshoumaru said coldly as he relaxed into his chair a bit. The look on his face still stoic, but now showing he was thinking of what to do with him. "You truly think you can be good among my guard? I do not tolerate idiots, and it is worse when it idiots who do not know their place! We have many enemies. You are sure I can entrust you to guard and protect the inu in this castle?" Sesshoumaru coldly still starring at him. "You will pay with your life if any female or pup is lost in an attack. All of the guard know that." He said not with the best tone. In fact it was the worst tone yet.

Now I understand how the guards felt when they’re around him.
Seishii could not believe that he almost felt a prickling sense of anxiety around this demon lord, the very man who became his father. Nevertheless and as expected as a future heir, he did not reveal his emotions as easily. Maintaining a strict calmness about his person, he merely watched the demon lord and closed his eyes, listening to what he had to say. He began to wonder how his mother truly felt around this man during this time.
As he recalled, they did not have the best relationship at this stage. It was the worst and crappiest. Curiosity ate at him, probing to find out just what stage they were at in this sort of relationship. He simply could not imagine seeing his parents truly disliking each other. For all he could recall, they adored each other, despite the usual annoyances and slight bickers here and there. When it occurred, he was usually there to meditate the situation thorough and through.
He continued to listen to the demon lord talk, simply nodding his head over and over, “Yes, my lord.” Finally, he looked up and stared at him, tempted to reveal his usual, gentle smile. Though, he chose not to and simply responded, “Yes, I understand. I will slit my throat if a female or a pup is lost in my care.” He was mildly surprised, wondering if the tone of this man was typical. Was this truly a bad day for him?
Just exactly how bad this situation between him and mother were?
Suddenly, he heard the footsteps and recognized it immediately. He almost wanted to chuckle, somewhat surprised that his own mother’s footsteps had not changed much when she was irked. The door slammed open behind him and he turned to spot the black-haired woman glaring not at him, but right pass his side.
“At least, a Thank You should suffice!”
Seishii could not help it, but he simply stared at her, somewhat stupefied by what she just said. If anyone did not know him enough, he would have looked as if he was drooling over a woman which he truly wasn’t. He was simply surprised that his past mother still looked the same as she was back from where he left from. The only changes were that the hair was much shorter and she was slightly taller back home.
Just what happened here?

Days and nights since the day she was wrongly attacked by the fiendish demon lord, and Zoe had been doing nothing but studying the book, going in and out of the castle ground with the mutual understanding with her curse that she would not leave to simply get away. During the time she went alone on her short trips to other surrounding areas, she learned a lot and met with intriguing people. Yes, intriguing people.
She should have felt better by now. She should have forgotten the incident by now. She should not be feeling this bad by now.
And just why in the world is she still feeling all this? She felt remorse, stricken and angered by what occurred to her just little over three days ago. Suddenly, it dawned on her. She should have voiced her opinions all this time, instead of having it bubbling over and over inside her, just waiting to be burst out of sheer exhaustion and anger. No, it wasn’t good. She needed to let it out and just settle the matter at hand.
Ignoring several number of maids and servants who watched her from the distance, she marched down the hallway, intent of finding the right room or office, wherever the demon lord was located at. Before she could even open the door, she smelled that there was someone else there and did not care if she was going to embarrass him. After all, the demon lord already did it to her out in plain public. She might as well do the same to him of such behavior is not appropriate.
“At least, a Thank You should suffice!”
She stood there with a pair of cobalt eyes glaring straight at the demon lord, ignoring the baffled guard who stood in the middle of the office. Resting a hand against the door frame, she heaved a sigh, “anyone would be considered a madman and a lunatic for attacking someone who saved their home! It was completely uncalled for and inappropriate. It’s not like you were going to be powerless forever.” She hissed slightly, now feeling slightly better that she let it out.

Sesshoumaru sat there silent as a tomb as the boy spoke. It was a good answer, he had to give him that much. He had not shown fear, which was a bit strange, but if anything it gave him credit at least. If he was feeling it, he was hiding it very well. It was a good thing for a guard to have.
He was about to ask more questions to truly test the boy when he smelled her. Heard her practically stomping down the hallway closing in on his office.
Damm it!I'm going to have to air out this place of my scent. It is too easy for her to find me. He thought staying in his chair and tapping his claws on his desk as he waited for her to burst in. Somehow he had known she would do that. It would be typical of her, to not even honor that this was his office. He knew she knew he was with someone in there, and yet did not care. As she spoke that one single line his eyebrow raised elegantly.
"Do they not teach manners where you come from Lady Zoe?" Sesshoumaru asked while he could not help but watch her, in anger she was just too captivating. But no... Nooo... He could not be allowed to be led into that again. Not again... What was he? Liking this punishment of a woman?
"A thank you for what? You left me 'The Lord of the West' powerless. You where lucky you had those guardians. Do you not realize that you managed to bring an anger out of me that seldom do. You should be happy to be alive, and yet you foolishly barge into my personal space raving like this." He said forgetting for a moment that the young youkai was even in the room. "I am sure that if you want thank yous you came to the wrong place." Sesshoumaru said looking to her stoically, but he couldn't help but watch her, watch her every feature. His eyes that had been cold as frozen amber before, now melted watching her.
Anyone that knew him well enough could see it. But like many things that his eyes showed, Sesshoumaru didn't know he was doing it. The mere presence of her near him, had shifted him already. Now he was just anxious, nervous, and at the same time he was teasing her and liking watching her. It was a very mixed emotion around her. One that he was trying desperately to hide.
"Tell me did you spend all this time just trying to come up with something to say to me? Or are you just here because you still can not leave?" Sesshoumaru said teasing her, and testing her at the same time. She didn't like him... Part of him was sad about that. Part of him really liked her... A lot more that he cared to admit even to himself at this point, and specially not with the way things where marching.

Not even noticing that there was a guard here, Zoe continued to drill her cobalt gaze onto the demon lord. Despite the fact that she felt slightly better after having voiced her thoughts and let out her emotions, she still felt irked by the situation at hand now. If it had been any other person, she wouldn’t act like this. In fact, if he had been just any other man, she would have pulled a stunt with a seductive smile and just lure him into humiliation.
So, just why couldn’t she do the same with this demon lord?
Plus, just why it that every time she looked at him she went speechless? Why in the world did that man have to be this beautiful that it constantly astounded her? What’s even more disturbing that she actually enjoyed this aristocratic man full of prides, traditions and egos? She actually wanted to just burst into the office and just have a look at his face just because she hadn’t seen him all those days since they departed, leaving a nasty mark. A predicament she did not like and which she was reminded of.
She rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked, “Are you threatening me?” With the anger somewhat subsided, though still spitting fire from the annoyance she felt the entire day. She leaned against the doorframe, now completely forgetting that there was a guard standing by staring at her and the demon lord with a quieted look. “Wrong place? What am I to do? Go to your bedroom and demand a thank you?” Sure, like she would do that.
She was watching him now that her minds finally cleared with all that jumble of disturbing thoughts save for him. No, why is it all him again? She couldn’t believe that she actually noticed the markings on his face and actually adored the crescent moon shape on his forehead. And she was not about to let him know that. “Yes, what’s wrong with that?” She blatantly responded, “And no, we have mutual understanding now.” She lifted her chin with triumph, “I can leave and travel for short amount of time until I am forced back here.” It was long before she realized that she stood next to the guard now with arms crossed over her chest.

Left somewhere in the background, Seishii could only stand and watch the ongoing bicker that was actually quite familiar to him. He would always notice when his father would tease his mother around, which more than often, she fell for and then to realize it all after she cooled down. It was a scene that often occurred over and over much to his father’s enjoyment. It actually took Seishii a while to realize that his father simply enjoyed the way his mother spit fire out of anger.
It was simply out of captivation and love.
It was already occurring here, though it was not as intense as it was back home. But, things are just starting here. So, he couldn’t quite imagine just how bad their relationship was at the start. That is, until, he heard what the woman said. Whipping his head sideway, he stared at her with a mild surprise, losing his emotionless face just barely. Did his own father actually attack her just because she saved their home? Unwilling to say anything further and he clutched onto his guard hat a bit tightly than before and almost demanded an answer from the demon lord for his crude behavior toward the poor woman. Instead, he bit down on his lips and willed his himself to appear more composed as he originally was since he entered the room.
The more he listened to their conversation, the more he was aware he was forgotten somewhere in the room. He almost wanted to laugh, since almost everyone would notice his presence wherever he went. He almost thought that it would be quite a feat if he tried to keep himself undercover without blowing up his guise. Apparently, it was working, just as so as long as he doesn’t speak out of his place, technically speaking.
A closer inspection of his father, he noticed that his eyes melted once again. He recalled that when he watched him, they had been cold, foreboding and unforgiving. Yet, the minute this woman stepped in, it was like summer came across his amber gaze. Realizing that things could get out of place, he pretended to cough just slightly, though not outrageously loud as an obvious attempt.

Was it the point of this woman to always drive him insane? He was beginning to think it was. How did she manage to do it? With a few sentences and mannerisms to put him into these predicaments. He was Sesshoumaru. Feared by everyone and yet not her. What was she? Blind? Insane? Did she really think he wouldn’t hurt her? Or maybe she thought she could fight him on equal terms? Sesshoumaru had no idea which one it was.
“What you take it like is not my concern Lady Zoe.” He said in response to the threat thing. But then when she spoke of going to his room, he did almost laugh. All be it a sarcastic, teasing laugh, but it would have been a laugh none the less. “And here I remember you saying you wanted nothing to do with me? What was it you said… Ah yes, you found my looks good. But it was ‘me’ you didn’t like. Yet now you’re threatening to go to my room? Is that an invitation for something Lady Zoe? I should warn you inu bond for life.” He said teasing her with a cold stoic tone. He sounded a bit bored and aggravated by her, but yet his amber eyes now showing a bit of evil mischief in them as he watched her. Jaken would have been terror filled at the look on his face now. It wasn’t a look that was good. It was always a deadly look for someone somewhere. However, now directed at Zoe who knew what it meant. Sesshoumaru himself certainly didn’t know. He didn’t even realize he was looking at her like that. “I do not think you could live with me that long, and to tell you truthfully I do not think I could live with you either. ” He added watching her more. He was about to say something else when the boy coughed. He looked over to him, looking a bit surprised that he was still standing there. Had he been there the entire time? How could one woman make him so blind to who was around him? He looked to Zoe and then to the young youkai, in his mind he was berating himself for letting all this happen in front of the young youkai.
“And now you’ve given a new guard a show. Hmmmm, I suppose that is what one gets when one does not knock. This opinionated woman is Lady Zoe. You will be guarding her as well.” He said to Seishii, indeed he did look less…. Cold… now than he did when Seishii had entered the room.

Clearly stupefied by the demon lord not because of what he said, but the mere fact that he laughed. It didn’t matter if it wasn’t a big laugh, but the mere fact that he coughed a laugh at her statement. She, who thought that the demon lord could not express anything other than the usual teasing to rile her up, the anger he felt by her behavior and the annoyance of her presence, actually laughed. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that she would have liked to hear how he sounded when he truly laughed.
Almost immediately, her warm-hearted thoughts were swept away by another case of annoyance, followed by the feminine need to jump back away from this imposing man. “I know that,” Zoe replied, forcing herself to remain still where she was. She couldn’t quite control her cheeks from reddening. That look in his eyes and the way he smiled almost made her want to run not out of fear, but jus to run at him. She was becoming more bewildered by the change in her feelings. It was becoming a bamboozle to a point that her logical mind could not quite make out what’s going on.
“Then we have a mutual agreement.” Zoe huffed and puffed, her arms tightened against her chest, containing herself from the need to make him laugh. And why in the world is she still thinking of that tiny laugh?! This was becoming too absurd and alarming.
At this point, she knew she was finding herself in trouble. Didn’t the two of them just agreed that they couldn’t stand each other? Her mind wheeled out of control and turned blank when a young boy beside her coughed, signaling his presence. She blinked, realizing that she stood next to him. “Ah…”
Unlike the demon lord, she did not berate herself for allowing the demon lord to occupy her mind. Instead, she berated herself for ignoring another person in the same room. “I apologize. I get too fired up that I forget someone’s here.” She grinned innocently.
“Pardon me; you’re the one who’s also opinionated.” She shook her finger at him once again, not caring for the fact that he’s the demon lord of the castle she resided in.

Now finally relieved to see that his presence is known by Lady Zoe and Lord Sesshoumaru, Seishii felt that the situation would not go out of his hand. If he hadn’t managed a slight cough, he wouldn’t be surprised if Lady Zoe would pull a move on him. After all, sometime he would do it as well. Doing something that’s out of the ordinary and completely surprises those who are around him, even his own parents. Just think of them as Lady Zoe and Lord Sesshoumaru. I fear if I continue to think them my parents, my tongue will slip…
Reliving his emotionless face slightly, he suddenly beamed a gentle smile at Lady Zoe who apologized for not having acknowledged his presence. “Apology accepted, Lady Zoe,” he spoke lightly, his grip on the guard hat loosened slightly. Not moving his head, only his gaze moved to watch Lord Sesshoumaru’s gaze flicker between him and Lady Zoe. It was in that instant moment he could tell that he just realized what went on and he had long since forgotten his presence until now.
Indeed, it was a good thing that he coughed. Who knows what would have happen if he hadn’t?
Keeping himself well-composed except for the gentle smile not only because of the fact that Lady Zoe acknowledged his presence, but the fact that Lord Sesshoumaru looked less…scary than he originally did when he first entered the room. Yes, it was a wonder how Lady Zoe managed to perform a dramatic shift in his behavior just with her mere presence.
“It will be a pleasure, my lord.” He murmured lightly, bowing both to Lady Zoe and Lord Sesshoumaru, out of respect as usual.
“On one condition,” Seishii looked to Lady Zoe who stared at him too close, almost startling him to a near step back which he did not. “Call me Zoe, or you’re gonna get it.”
“Yes, La—Zoe.” He cleared his throat, calling himself stupid for not realizing that this woman had the tendency to do that. Even now back home, his mother still pulled that stunt; always pulling her face close to his.

While at the moment he did still remember the young youkai was there he was still more focused on Zoe than anyone else. She was blushing... Was it a good sign? Did that mean she didn't quite hate him as she said she did?No, you can't think like that... She is nothing... We have never needed a female before. We can not start with 'this' female. She will lead us straight to our doom. Sesshoumaru thought to himself as he watched her, but even as he tried to reassure himself of all that he was getting lost in her fiery spirit and beauty.
"I am glad we agree." Sesshoumaru said watching her and then rolling his eyes at her last statement. He looked to her pretending to be annoyed and cold. But his eyes showed other things. He let the opinionated statement slide. It was not important. What was important was her... and this new guard.
Not that the young thing was doing anything improper, in fact Sesshoumaru could see that he was trying very hard to stay proper. Zoe made that hard. Sesshoumaru got up and calmly went over to Zoe, he grasped her hand and pulled her away from the guard.
"I will thank you to keep proper behavior around the unmated males in my castle Lady Zoe. Proper rules are there for a reason." Sesshoumaru said unknowingly pulling her behind him and a bit to tightly to him. "You wouldn't want to end up causing .... problems .... for him now would you?" He said looking to Zoe with a slight jealous streak in his eyes.
Keeping a hold on Zoe without realizing it, he called another guard. "Bring Lady Rin to me." He said with a cold tone. The guard bowed and rushed off. Moment later Rin was walking into the office, her lady's in waiting outside giggling like all young ladies did when they saw Sesshoumaru or any other cute man, which in this case happened to be Seishii.
"Seishii. This is my ward, Rin. You will be in charge of her personal safety. Keep unwanted suitors from her and such, as well as any other who would harm her." Sesshoumaru said calmly. Little did he know that for Seishii Rin would be a matter of history. Something that would become a sore subject for Sesshoumaru in the future, and just another reason to dislike humans.
Just because a human girl got to his heart and then broke it in two when she grew old and died. Sesshoumaru was never quite the same after that, anyone that knew him knew he had lost his pup, his child. His first reason for caring about anything. But in this present time, that was all unknown events. That was all things that Sesshoumaru did not care to think about.
"I am sure you understand that if anything occurs to Rin you will be responding to it with your flesh and blood." Sesshoumaru said calmly, completely taking for granted that he still had Zoe basically glued to him, and behind him.
Rin blinked and simply waited there patiently smiling and looking to her Lord and then to the young guard. "Rin gets her own guard?" She asked giggling and then quirking her head looking at him. "You look like Sesshoumaru Sama? You're an inu too? That's funny... Never seen one that looks like Sesshoumaru Sama before." She said giggling. "But you got blue eyes. They're cute, never seen that either...On an inu.." She said looking to him, She came over and bowed. "What's your name?" She asked cutely.
"RIN... Remember he is your guard, not your play thing. He needs to be able to do his job properly." Sesshoumaru said watching his ward and shaking his head.
"Hai Sesshoumaru Sama." She said giggling and stepping back, but still clearly had a mischief on her that she was pure trouble when Sesshoumaru wasn't around. Because she was. Only being in the world she obeyed was Sesshoumaru, and with the knowledge that Sesshoumaru Sama would be there and protect her and rescue her from the slightest thing, well... any young girl growing up like this would get a certain... spirit about her.

What an unexpected turn of events.
Zoe did not expect the demon lord to simply pull her away from the guard. She could not quite finger why he would grab her hand when he could have easily just grabbed her arm. After all, he had done it twice to her and without a hint of gentleness or any consideration. What’s even more baffling that he still hadn’t let go of her. She realized that the way he held onto her hand tightened considerably and it was obvious that he wasn’t about to let go of her.
She stood behind him with her eyes widened until he explained the circumstances of unmated males around her person. Almost immediately, she daggered him with series of unwanted glares. She did not want to hear that from him. She wasn’t some heated female who hunt down single males for sexual pleasures. She exchanged her glares with a puppy pout, “but I didn’t cling onto him or give him a kiss. Just only wanted that one condition.” He still hadn’t let go of her hand which prompted Zoe to look up to find what she had not expected either.
Inuyasha was –not- lying about this.
Strangely, she felt liberated and excited by the mere idea that the demon lord actually acted like this around her. It only served to make her want to act like that around other males to see what kind of behavior she could produce out of him. In fact, she liked how he hadn’t released her hand and chose not to struggle for a release of her hand. The size of his hand even startled her now that she paid close attention, they were firm and large with an alarming sense of comforts and protection.
Somebody shoot me in the head.
When the young human lady, a ward of demon lord’s, entered the room, she finally snapped out from staring at the hands and looked up. She quirked an eyebrow, realizing something she hadn’t noticed. Immediately, she stared at the young guard and noticed the resemblance. The young lady was right. He certainly did look like Sesshoumaru. Even his mannerism was a startling similarity.
Stifling a small laugh out of nowhere, she glanced at the young guard with a sensual grin, “careful, you’re now the center of attention for these young ladies.”
