Take a step back, relieving what we know so far; youkais roamed freely and ruled the lands during Feudal era, but there are none in the modern era where Kagome hailed from. Ever wonder why there are no youkais in sight? What happened to them? Where did they go? Did humans successfully eradicate all youkais and hanyous?
Now, backtrack to the time, after the defeat of Naraku and Kagome’s return to warring state era after three years of absence, she was determined to stay by Inuyasha’s side. A decade later, peace once thought to have reigned, now slowly dissipated with each passing year, sucked up by humans’ idle thoughts of banishing youkais to gain full rights of all Japan territories. It was the new generation of the old, clambering with vastly different lifestyle and thoughts, whose thoughts emerged and manifested into reality. One by one, the communication between a youkai and a human of new generation brewed a quieted dislike for each other. No one knows for sure just when this will erupt into a full-flown attack.
Another decade passed and the first holy battle erupted between two groups; youkais on one side and the humans on another, combating each other for the full right of a territory and something even more.
The right to live.
Both Inuyasha and Kagome found themselves in the midst of a divine war between youkais, hanyous and humans. Is this what transpired to bring an end of these “unholy” creatures? The reason why we never saw, not one youkai or hanyou in Kagome’s time? How will both Inuyasha and Kagome fare? Luckily, Kagome, now in her 40s, did not look or act her human age. Having bonded with her husband/mate, Inuyasha, providing her a longer life-span, she can freely do things as she wished if she was in her early 20s. Unfortunately, both Miroku and Sango could not escape the passing time; now well into their early 40s. Their children, however, in their early 20s, provide services whenever they can to stop this full-flown war between the youkais, hanyous and humans with Kagome and Inuyasha and as well as other comrades.
Has the fate already been decided for the existence of hanyous and youkais? What will happen now?
