TAKURAMI
Age: 17/232[/size]
Gender: Male
Species: Youkai
Subspecies: Cat
Occupation: Unemployed
Alliance: Arashimeru
Choice of Weapon(s): Just his claws and teeth, though in all honesty, he doesn't fight, at all, preferring to rely on Schrodinger's Cat.
Battle Specialties & Flaws:
Schrodinger's Cat
Taku's only power, but boy, is it a doozy. Quite simply, it has the power to break the entire universe if he really wanted to. It essentially a mind screw power, and in actuality, flat out impossible to truly explain.
Part of it comes from Taku's naivety. Quite simply put, his childlike innocence allows him to cause things that he believes, to more or less be true in their own way. For example, if Taku believes he is not hurt, then no matter what he just got hit with, than he simply is uninjured, if he believes someone is alive, then they are. Another would be that if you tried to hit him, it'd somehow backfire. If you tried to punch him, you'd smack yourself in the face. If you tried to kick him, your foot would somehow end up your own ass. To put it frankly, there is not a thing in the universe that can harm Taku. How does this work? It's impossible to explain.
Another part of it is that it allows him to be in multiple locations, yet there will only be one of him. If you have reports of the exact same second of seven different sightings of Taku, then no matter how much you put everything together, glare at the spots, you will always see only one Taku. This also means that if you somehow kill him in one location, he will still be fine somehow. This is completely unexplainable.
A third is the fact that he is extremely lucky. If you dive at poor Taku with the intention to hurt him, he will find a bag of money, bend over to pick it up, causing you to fly right over him while he somehow cures cancer at the exact same moment.
Schrodinger's Cat is universe breaking in that it defies the laws of the universe, it has no actual explanation as to how it works. It is however, all Taku uses, as he chooses not to fight, rather he relies on this to keep him alive.
Although not a battle weakness, Taku tends to melt when someone gently plays with his ears, although if said ears are played with when he's in heat, it tends to send a completely different message.
Physical Appearance:
HEY LOOK, A CATBOY
Taku's appearance could best be described as downright adorable. His face always seemed to be bright and cheery, a childlike grin on his lips. His skin is pale, his hair a golden blonde with cute black cat ears poking out of the side of his head. Red eyes gaze in an innocent manner, seeming to charm those who look into them. His frame is small, and easily light weight.
His clothing is unusual however. However, it is also childlike in appearing, matching his naive personality. He seems to prefer the color yellow, as a yellow shirt covers his torso, save his forearms, his hands are protected by white gloves. On the left sleeve of the shirt is a red band, nothing more. A dark tie completing the shirt. The pants, aren't really pants, but are instead a pair of shorts, also yellow. These seem to have nothing adorning them as well.
Overall Personality:
Taku is exceptionally sweet and caring, unable to bring himself to hurt another living thing, at least not on purpose anyway. He seems to completely ignore the worst of crimes, unless it's to someone he cares about, he easily forgives. It takes a lot to get him angry. Another trait of the sweet and caring is his affection, as he is more likely to glomp a person rather than fight, knowing full well nothing bad will happen to him.
Taku is also very playful, as part of his race, which, he does tend to show catlike behavior. If something is dangled in front of him and it does interest him, he will more than likely bat at it with a curious expression on his face. The simplest things will entertain the cat youkai. Most people interacting with him will not find it difficult to amuse him.
This does however, tend to make him out to be very annoying to some. While some may snap at him, others may flat out attack him, only for said assault to completely backfire thanks to Schrodinger's Cat. Sometimes he will pick up on this, and choose to stop or sometimes egg the person on. Though other times he will be completely oblivious to others getting fed up with his shenanigans until they blow up on him.
He is also very naive. The very nature of Schrodinger's Cat also makes him easily manipulatable. For those without any sense of remorse or those who just want to abuse an adorable catboy, you won't have much trouble. Unless there is something that Taku knows isn't true, there is a pretty good chance he may very well take it as fact. This could easily lead to problems down the road.
Now, that doesn't mean there isn't a dark side, well, as dark as one can get with our little kitty. Taku does go into heat every now and then, it's in these times it's just best to avoid being affectionate with him at all, he will take it the wrong way. He won't take it in an angry way, but he will be aroused enough (especially if his ears are played with during heat) that he may act on impulse.
History:
Takurami never really had much of a dark history. His parents did care for their child, and did genuinely love him. At first, his parents considered training though, but it was mandatory to do such a thing in this world, considering the harshness and cruelty of the world, it was anything but a bad idea to teach their son how to defend himself in case he should ever be attacked. That attack would actually come sooner than would be expected.
One night when his father took him camping, Taku was left along at the camp, still but a small child, around four years old. He was the perfect target for a hungry snake youkai, small, defenseless, and a cat, extra bonus. His father came back just in time to see the snake lunge... blinking only to see the serpent already be on the ground, dead, two piercing holds in its neck. There was no explanation as to how it happened. The snake just was, it was deceased by its own fangs, but how did it happen? There was no explanation.
It was then Taku's parents learned he had the power of the cat inside. Schrodinger's Cat, a shield of invulnerability that could not be broken so long as the wielder did not become jaded. Thus, in order to keep their boy safe, they refused to teach him the arts of battle, instead choosing to do, of all things, everything they could to make sure that Taku grew up thinking the world was bright and sunny.
And it worked.
Taku eventually grew, and in several decades, left his parents, off to find his own place in the world. It wouldn't be long at all before he fist came on a village of humans. They attacked him, several times, only for each attack to backfire. Taku however, thought they were all playing, and despite his age, confused the blood for tomato sauce. The power of the cat activated again, and thus it was. the ones who attacked him stood, noticing that the catboy was right, and complained about their ruined clothing. The humans eventually concluded that Taku was no threat, and allowed him to stay in the village for a bit.
A month later, everyone loved him. Most just found his catlike tendencies and childlike innocence absolutely adorable. It was rare for a youkai to not be completely despised by humans, but Taku had unwittingly pulled it off. He was unaware that youkai and humans seemed to constantly be at each other's throat. It was just part of the charm that they seemed to love.
Over a century passed, and Taku said his farewells, still as innocent as the day he had left his parent's shelter, although at least now he knew what blood was. As he was wandering, he ran into a kitsune, named Aida. The power of the cat activated, and he wasn't even harmed, nor did he flinch, rather she took double the blow of bumping into each other. She was not happy, and tried to attack him, only for every attempt to backfire like always. When an explanation was demanded, Taku admitted that he had none. Although Aida left, Taku found her very interesting, and quite enchanting, and has followed her ever since.
